"In your charity please lift up in prayer Father Deacon Michael Hladky of Irvine, California who fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2003.
Father Deacon Hladky was born in Chester, PA on November 12, 1917. He was ordained to the Diaconate on November 8, 1981. Deacon Michael served in the Eparchy of Van Nuys at the Cathedral of St. Mary, Sherman Oaks, California and retired in November 1992. One son precedes him in death. He is survived by his wife, Julia and eight children.
The Great Parastas was celebrated on Sunday, December 21 at 7:30 PM and the Funeral Liturgy was celebrated on Tuesday, December 23rd at the Church of the Annunciation, Anaheim, California. Internment was at the San Fernando Cemetery.
