When they said to me, we are going
to the Lord’s house on this day,
gladness filled my soul, joy flowed from my heart,
because it is time to pray.
Refrain:
|| : Worship the Lord in song!
Give Him thanks all day long!
Glory to our God Who dwells in this place
and fills it with divine Grace. : ||
Let us enter God’s holy house
singing praises to His Name.
We will meditate upon His law;
the Good News we will proclaim.
When two or three gather in His Name,
He is present among them.
He fulfills the pray’rs of those who with faith
ask great mercy for all men.
It is better to spend one day
in the courts of the Lord
than a thousand days somewhere else
where wickedness is stored.
It is good for us to be here today
to offer our common pray’r.
Now with one mouth and with one heart
exalt His Name together.
