once through the score. For a given text [A-B-C] are repeated until
the last phrase of the text is sung as Z.
For this tone A2-A4 are increasing simplifications of the "full" pattern A1. These are the variations as given in the Prostopinije (see below) except for changes in the duration of some notes. [A] here stands for any combination of A1-A4 as required to fit the text. Reciting note: the E before F# (five notes from the end of each phrase). |
