| The reciting note is held for a nominal eight beats in the playback. The playback here is just once through the score. For a given text [A-B] are repeated until the last phrase of the text is sung as Z. For this tone the other endings are played after Z is played (with a short pause between them). | ||
| NOTE — Tone 1 ending : Z is a simplified ending that does not include the first phrase of P, the ending found in the Prostopinije. The Prostopinije (as transposed below) has F# for the last note of this phrase (see the red note) but it seems E (as indicated by the blue note) is sometimes sung instead. If E is sung here then one is already on the reciting note. E appears to be the proper reciting note; both E and G are used as such in the simplified ending Z. | ||
