The Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family
is pleased to
announce the publication of an illustrated 64 page spiral-bound guide to
Eastern Catholics in Delaware, the District of Columbia,
Maryland, and
Virginia. This compact book, the first of its kind in this area, provides
up-to-date contact information, liturgy schedules, and descriptions of
the more than 20 Eastern Church parishes whose diverse spiritual
traditions enrich the life of the Catholic Church in and around Washington.
Appendix items include U. S. population data on the Eastern Churches,
a published source for further reading, and direction to Web site sources
for additional information. Readers and interested groups are encouraged
to visit these centers of Eastern Catholic life to learn more about the
communities that form the Catholic Church's other "lung."
